Gemma Doyle MP hosts energy advice day for local residents
Local MP Gemma Doyle hosted a successful energy advice day for West Dunbartonshire residents last week, helping people to get the best deal on their energy bills.
Over 100 residents attended the advice day, which featured energy providers, consumer advice groups and independent advisers, all on hand to answer vital questions ahead of the winter season.
Residents were given expert advice on how to keep their homes warm this winter, including advice on insulation. In addition there were top tips on how to reduce household bills, as well as expert advice on how to get the best tariff from energy providers.
Speaking about the event Gemma Doyle MP said:
“I am really pleased that so many people were able to come along and get the information they were looking for.
“Energy bills are just far too high and folk should make sure they are on the best tariff from their supplier and consider checking out sites like USwitch to see if they can get a better deal elsewhere.
"The Labour Party will freeze energy prices if we win the General Election next May, but anything we can do to get bills down in the meantime is worthwhile."
