CLYDEBANK SUPERMUM PLAYS STARRING ROLE AT SCOTTISH LABOUR PARTY CONFERENCE
Clydebank resident and former Scotland ‘Mum of the Year’ Clare Lally last week took to the stage at the Scottish Labour Party Conference to give her own personal introduction to Scottish Labour Party leader Johann Lamont.
Clare is a full time carer to her disabled daughter Katie, as well as looking after Katie’s twin sister Holly. Her daughter Katie has a range of conditions requiring 24 hour care.
Clare took to the stage on Saturday (3rd March) afternoon in Dundee to introduce the Scottish Labour leader, speaking of her pride at the support that she has received from individuals including Johann Lamont, the new Leader of the Scottish Labour Party.
West Dunbartonshire’s Scottish Labour MP Gemma Doyle said,
“I was delighted that a Bankie had such an important role at the Scottish conference in Dundee. Clare is a tireless campaigner for the rights of carers throughout Scotland and both Katie and Holly have a mum that they can be proud of.
“Clare’s story really is an inspiration to anyone and I’m proud that she was up on the stage representing West Dunbartonshire at such a high profile event.”
